Active After School Communities Program (AASC)

Seaford Primary School was a pilot school for the Australian Institute of Sport's Active After Schools Program in 2005 and has remained with the program as it has expanded and been refunded.

This is a program concerned with children being active and healthy.

Each term there is an activity assigned to the Prep to 2 students and on another night, an activity for the grade 3-6 students.

The grade Prep students begin the program in term 2 when they are more familiar with the school day.

There are 20 places for each activity and children return an expression of interest form with the spaces filling quickly each term.

Past activities have included- Circus skills, yoga, dancing, basketball, multi skill ball games, little athletics, soccer and netball.

This program is free of charge and runs from 3.45 to 4.45pm on the chosen days.

Fruit is provided as a healthy snack for the participants.
